MGM British Studios – finished copies now available to buy

Ready to escape from lockdown? Then why not leave 2020 behind and join Paul Welsh on a tour of the iconic MGM British Studios?

This journey back in time is aimed at casual readers and film buffs alike. It is laced with anecdotes, facts and most of all, with a desire to ensure that although MGM British Studios is gone, it is not forgotten.

Paul’s new book, MGM British Studios: Hollywood in Hertfordshire, is a tribute to MGM British Studios and to all those who worked there until it was closed abruptly 50 years ago.

Described by Oscar-winning Director of Photography Ossie Morris as ‘the Rolls Royce of British film studios’ and by actress Sylvia Syms as ‘The closest to a Hollywood “dream factory” in this country’, MGM British produced many classic movies and television series.

Whether you are a fan of ‘Where Eagles Dare’, ‘2001 : A Space Odyssey’, ‘Fire Maidens From Outer Space’, ‘UFO’ or ‘The Prisoner’, you can buy your copy now.

    • Posted 15th June 2020 ehadmin 8:29 am

Morning Robert. I received your order yesterday and am expecting a further delivery of books later today when I’ll package up your copy. I’m self-isolating and rely on a volunteer to collect copies and drop them off at the post office. I’m hoping he can collect on Tuesday or Wednesday so you should receive your copy before the weekend. Bob
